Once the Chat Window is fully loaded you will need to enter a "Nick Name" , which is the alias you will be known by in the live chat. Then you have the option of including your real name and e-mail address (if you want other people in the chat room to be able to have access to this user information.) There is no password necessary, so leave this blank.

Click on the "OK, Connect!" button (lower-left) and wait for the system to load you into the chat room. This will again take anywhere from a few seconds to a minute (depending on your connection.)

When you are logged in your "Nick Name" will appear in the User Panel on the right side of the window. All you need to do now, is type in the data entry field where it says "Type HERE" and press the "ENTER" key on your keyboard to transmit your message to th chat room.

To exit click the "Log off!" button (top-right) and exit the chat area.

ADVANCED FEATURES:

To maximize the Chat Room Window, click on the "Float" button (upper-right) and then maximize the floating window by clicking the Maximize button on the extreme top-right (the exact process may vary, depending on the operating system you are using.)

To view the User Information of any participants, click on their alias to highlight the name, and then click on the "User Info" button at the top of the User Panel (right side.) This will let you view the User's real name and e-mail address (if they logged that information when connecting.)

To send private messages to anyone in the chat room (without letting the other participants see your message,) highlight their alias in the User Panel, then check the box marked "Private Chat" and send a message as usual - by typing in the data entry field (below the main chat window) and press "ENTER". No one else will see this message even though it appears on your main screen. When you wish to send messages to the main chat area again, simply un-check the "Private Chat" box and resume.

While we welcome you to stay and chat as long as you like, please remember that there are often minors in this room. Making rude, obscene, racist, suggestive or otherwise obnoxious remarks is *NOT* acceptable. We are sorry to even have to mention this, but we remind you NOT to be obscene or abusive or you and your computer will be banned from this server and your ISP notified.

This is an unmoderated chat room. While we do try and administer the room as often as possible and routinely expel and ban obnoxious users, please appreciate that we cannot police the chat room on a 24 hour basis and are not responsible for the content of the chat room. If you do come across an offensive user, just click on the username and the checkbox 'Ignore User' - all messages from that users will not appear on your screen, it is as if the user just went away.
